The Tourism and Cultural Heritage (TCH) research cluster focuses on conducting studies related to sustainable tourism development and the preservation of Indonesia’s culturally rich and naturally diverse heritage. Our research encompasses various aspects of tourism, including economic resilience, disaster risk management, the role of culture in fostering disaster-resilient communities, and their interconnectedness with sustainable development.

RDI’s vision to enhance its research in tourism and cultural heritage is clearly outlined in our roadmap. We aim to delve deeper into tourism and cultural heritage management to promote more sustainable development in both tourism practices and cultural preservation. One of our flagship projects is “The Impact of Tsunami on the Economy of the Hotel Industry in Pandeglang Regency.”
