The Resilience Development Initiative (RDI) Annual Highlights 2023 showcase major achievements in advancing resilience and sustainable development across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. In 2023, RDI expanded its research and international collaborations, including a joint study with the ASEAN Secretariat on urbanization and population mobility.
The year also marked the launch of the Urban Living Labs initiative, aiming to strengthen the resilience of urban communities affected by displacement. RDI conducted climate change adaptation training in partnership with WCDI, ADPC, and BNPB, and contributed to an air quality improvement project in Jakarta with C40 Cities.
In waste management, RDI supported a Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) project in cooperation with the Indonesian and Australian governments, and analyzed waste collection efficiency in Makassar.
With over 30 active collaborative projects since 2022, RDI continues to lead as a regional think tank producing evidence-based research for resilience and sustainable development.
