Project Background
The blended course Managing Risk in the Face of Climate Change (MRFCC) teaches participants to become forward-thinking managers who can anticipate and prepare for disaster and climate change risks, and gain a better understanding of the rationale for an integrated approach to building resilience.
Project Objectives
After the course, participants will be able to:
- Value the complementary contribution of climate change adaptation and disaster risk management to build resilience of human, social
& natural systems.
- Assess climate & disaster risks in a landscape using participatory tools and identify appropriate and effective risk treatment options
- Encourage complementary action and coordination between stakeholders to reduce disaster and climate change risks
- Effectively communicate climate and disaster risks to influence development planning, decision making, and action
