On 24th January 2022, RDI conducted a workshop with British Geological Survey. This workshop serves as a platform for exploring various aspects of geological hazards in Indonesia, including their understanding, measurement, mitigation, and modelling. It focuses on earthquake, landslide, volcanic, and tsunami hazards, with discussions on assessment methods, communication, implementation, and policies. Through case studies and research presentations, the workshop aims to enhance awareness, encourage research continuity, and promote innovative approaches to address these hazards. Ultimately, it seeks to engage government agencies, communities, experts, and stakeholders in discussions about strengthening Indonesia’s resilience to geological hazards.
